MAD ART is owned exclusively by me, Mary A. Davis. I have been blessed with a natural desire to create art. IÂ love all kinds of art. Printmaking ranks among my top three favorite forms of expression. It is a tactile way to create with my hands and mind. I feel I become one with the work and leave a little piece of me in each creation. I am proud to share my work with you and thank-you for taking a look at my creations.

WHAT IS LINO?

Lino is short for linoleum , a floor covering. Lino used for printmaking can be purchased through online art supply stores or brick and mortor arts and craft stores.

WHAT IS A LINO-CUT?
A Linocut is a print making technique in which a sheet of lino is used for a relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface using carving tools. The raised, or un-carved areas, represent a mirror image of the parts that will be printed. Once carving is completed The lino sheet is inked with a roller, and then impressed onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a printing press.

If I am able to turn your idea into a print a preliminary drawing is approved by you and work will begin. These prints will belong exclusively to you and will not be sold to any other patron.

Price to create begins at $25.00 for a one color lino print size of 4" x 6" and the cost of the prints.
the first print will be $15.00, each additional print will be $10.00
